Richard P. Burgunder III is the founder and managing director of Kurjax, a division of Extremus LLC, the global sports management company he founded in 2008. Through Extremus LLC, Burgunder managed and served as public relations liaison for more than fifty professional athletes from nine countries throughout the Americas, Africa, and Europe.
A professional extreme athlete who has competed across the globe, Burgunder brings phenomenal focus and discipline to Kurjax. He also brings extensive experience using sports as a tool to catalyze international development. Burgunder has been widely recognized and awarded for his athletic and professional accomplishments.
When he was an analyst and project manager for prominent government contractors in the New York and Washington, DC metro areas, Burgunder provided business development solutions with an international focus on federal civilian, defense, and intelligence missions.
Burgunder holds a BA in Economics and a certificate in Leadership Education and Development from Pennsylvania State University, along with a certificate from Cambridge University in International Development: Understanding Contemporary Issues and Themes. Burgunder is currently pursuing certification programs in Management and Leadership Learning through Stanford University’s Center for Professional Development. Burgunder has trained at the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL) and holds certificates from their Community Awareness Program (CAP).
